No Child Left Behind

No child should be left behind. That is a major theme in November as we bring awareness to Adoption. Not only sharing what it is but who is in need and what the community can do to give love to our children. It is many different reasons that children are displaced and if someone has a home that they wish to grow it is perfect to consider adopting a child in your area. Forget the stereotypes. Dig deep and decide if this is something that will bring you joy

Those that might be encouraged to adopt:
It is good to take a look at your state but the characteristics of prospective parents can be:
• Married couples
• Single women and men
• Foster parents
• Stepparents
• Relatives (including aunts, uncles and grandparents)

In the United States There are more than 500 thousand children in foster care. Majority of these children are African American. There’s about one hundred thousand children are waiting to be adopted. Those numbers are amazing. With so many families wanting to build a family it is interesting that so many children are without homes.

So this month take a moment to evaluate your situation. Take a look at your home, goals and finances to see if assisting a child is something you can do. If having an addition to the family is something that you are passionate about doing there are more than enough resources to help that happen.
